The intergalactic criminal Dr. Tofu has attempted to steal the Celestial Armory, an arsenal protected by The Quartermaster…but the starship carrying the Armory has malfunctioned! Crashing into the town of Owada Bay, the Quartermaster finds himself trapped in a spatial rift in the walk-in freezer of Happy Mart, a mom-and-pop conbini. With the Celestial Armory scattered across the city in the form of toy-sized capsules, the Quartermaster begs Happy Mart’s employees for help! Can the newly minted Busougers recover the Armory, defend the neighborhood against Dr. Tofu, and the Gomi-Gumi Yakuza…and make it to work on time?!
Designer Notes:
This module draws on the campier side of sentai like Carranger to explore questions of obligation and perseverance. Owada Bay is based loosely on the real-life city of Kobe, which was devastated by the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. Twenty-fi ve years later Kobe is overshadowed by its sister cities of Tokyo and Osaka.
