The Squad discovers a cryptic message that hints at a hidden artifact known as the "Eclipse Codex", said to hold the key to unraveling the Big Bad's true intentions. In light of these events, a long-time ally reluctantly unveils a dark secret from their past, revealing that they were once entrusted with the Codex's protection.
As the Squad journeys to reclaim this ancient relic, they encounter old allies and formidable adversaries, forcing their king to confront unresolved conflicts, in a desperate bid to secure the Codex and prevent impending catastrophe.
Designer Notes
"Codex Unbound'' is an homage to American Saturday morning Tokusatsu from the 90s like Big BadBeetleBorgs and Power Rangers. Codex Unbound immerses players into a setting where our Squad collides with the machinations of a malevolent force. From mist-shrouded forests hiding ancient ruins to crowded bustling streets, the forest of Xumeni hides secrets and challenges waiting to be uncovered.
