If someone was to describe to you Oval Capital in just one word, it would be ‘Balls’! Every game from bustling soccer matches to more quiet golfing sessions are celebrated by residents and tourists alike on the huge grassy pitches and courses of Oval Capital. However, rising up from his self-imposed exile, the wicked Frederick Flattener has come to yank away the hopes, dreams and balls of all athletes who dream of mastering their skills. Discovering the potential locked away in the mystical Power Balls, a group of local students led by the sharp-tongued Derrick Dodge, must kick, slam, throw, dunk, spike and bust Frederick’s ‘Foul Balls’! Can our heroes make it to Full-Time?
Designer Notes:
‘Ball Busters!’ is a module designed to put smiles on players’ faces and also being able to draw from popular sports and TV show concepts that are known the world over. B.B has sports centered at its core, but is ultimately designed to be a setting that is energetic and ‘pick up and play’. It can be both a goofy teenage high-school or college sitcom while still adhering to Sentai Monster of the Week tropes. A one-off episode or perhaps a multi season series is all down to whoever sits down at the table or gets cosy on your voice chat of choice. I hope you grin as much reading this as I did writing it. And remember, to ‘Bust Some Balls!’
