Crop Catastrophe

The planet of Conquestia ran out of resources ages ago but King De'Vourer and his ravenous, toxic crew now sail the stars to strip planets bare to sustain themselves. While out one night a young farmer, Darrell, spots an alien scout confirming Earth is going to be added to the list for future use. He makes a prayer to save the Earth and spends his life prepping for the day they return.
Many years later, a group of scientists perform experiments on his farm for a new fertilizer sprayer. One miraculously spilled cup of tea later, each of them got coated in radiated material and now have powers. Just in time too, because Earth is next in line for the reaping and it's up to science and nature to save it!
Designer Notes
This is a love story about growing up in a small town and seeing tractors every day and miles of corn. Also a fun nod to science vs. nature understanding each other. While the threat of it is more serious, I really want you to have fun with as many small-town things (and corn) as you can fit in. The Monsters are a nod to the 4 Horsemen and the oncoming Apocalypse of Earth. Radiated fertilizer gives way to explore civilian powers given by a strange mix of science/nature/prayer answered.
