The mountain city of Skyview has long had stories of Ninjas. Long ago, creatures of shadow plagued the city and threatened to plunge it into Eternal Night. But a group of ninja warriors, empowered by the Dawn, took the fight to them and sealed their master away. But now the seal has begun to break, and the Army of Shadow has plunged Skyview into a new Eternal Night.
As the threat to the world only gets stronger, a new generation of Ninja Warriors must take up the blade and fight to bring back the Dawn.
Designer Notes
Ninjas are a fairly common theme in Tokusatsu, but not one that has been explored in Henshin! yet, so I wanted to take the opportunity to put my own spin on things. Drawing obvious inspirations from Japanese history and mythology, Ninja Dawn tells the story of protecting your home from a very dangerous threat.
Eternal Night is not a new concept in fiction. But Ninja Dawn puts an interesting twist on it by focusing on the Shinobi as the heroes. Where darkness is normally their ally, they must now fight for the light and draw on the power of the stars above.
